Pembroke Probate was created to fulfil a requirement for the disposal of vehicles managed by solicitors and legal professionals through probate. We understand the intricacies and logistical challenges regarding the disposal of motor vehicles. Our discreet and professional services includes consultation, valuation and the collection of vehicles.
What we do
Consultation
On receiving your enquiry, we make contact to discuss your requirements. This consultation can be done via call or by a visit to where the vehicle is located. A few brief details will enable us to provide an accurate valuation and if agreed, a collection date.
Valuations
A common response is ‘how much do you need for it’ or ‘we can take it off your hands’ – none of which are particularly professional or useful in gaining accurate information for asset valuation purposes. We use data wisely and securely.
Our online portal, CAP/HPi is a motor and finance industry standard appraisal and valuation database. Through this we can provide accurate pricing and vehicle status reports.
Reporting includes current valuations, verification of VIN (chassis) and registration number and if there is any outstanding finance against the vehicle, which is particularly useful in terms of settling any outstanding monies against your clients estate. All reporting is emailed for you to complete your records.
Purchase
Once agreement has been reached regarding value, payment is made online; alternatively, a cheque can be issued if preferred.
Collection
The vehicle is collected at your convenience.
Documentation
We collect the V5 Registration Certificate (logbook) and transfer ownership on day of collection. An email to confirm transfer of ownership will be provided for your records.
Insurance
We have fully comprehensive trade insurance through NIG Insurance. A copy of our insurance can be provided on request.
Data Protection
We have a strict policy relating to client confidentiality and personal details. All data once administered is securely shredded. Any digital information is deleted from our systems 28 days after use. A copy of our data protection policy is available on request.
Identity
Photographic ID will be presented at any meeting with you or your clients. Marc Kings holds an Enhanced CRB Certificate, a copy of which is available on request.
Financial Status
We have been established for 10 years and are VAT registered.
References
Trade and personal references are supplied on request.
Environmental
In the instance of a vehicle not deemed fit for resale it is disposed of via an established Auto Recycling Facility to ensure all environmental requirements are met. A COD (Certificate of Destruction) will be provided for your records.
Vehicles of Interest
We have extensive experience and knowledge of specialist vehicles i.e., classic cars. We understand that some clients may have one or several the cars as part of their estate. We have a long-standing relationship with Barons Auctioneers. Established in 1998 Barons are the oldest independent classic car auction house in the UK. Utilizing their extensive database we can provide an accurate guide price and valuation. The vehicle(s) can then be offered at auction to obtain the best market price for your client.
